April Breon joined the Royal Ranger office in June 2003, serving as a temporary secretary for Richard Marriot. On September 1, she became the Chartering & Medals Coordinator and Publications Assistant. As Medals Coordinator, April handles all the applications, correspondence, and ordering of medals for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals of Achievement. She also processes the Medal of Valor and Medal of Courage applications. As Chartering Coordinator, April processes all charter applications and fees. She also assists Jerry Parks with the High Adventure magazine and tracking some departmental items and sales.
April has lived in Springfield since 1993. She graduated from Southwest Baptist University in December 1999 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music. She is taking classes towards a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy. Aside from working with Royal Rangers, April teaches piano lessons and serves as church pianist.
